WORKSHOP ON KEY STRATEGIC PILLARS & SOCIAL TEACHINGS.

Karnataka Regional Organization for Social Service (KROSS), Bengaluru in collaboration with Caritas India, New Delhi organized a two day workshop on 29th & 30th May, 2019 to disseminate the ‘Strategic Plan & Key Strategic Pillars of Caritas India and Social Teachings’ for the Social Development Workers of Karnataka in which 53 participants from all over Karnataka participated.

Fr. Sebastian Fernandes, Director, KROSS extended a warm welcome to the dignitaries and the participants. Dr. Eugene Lobo, Regional Secretary, KRCE inaugurated the programme and addressed the gathering. Dr. Jolly Puthenpura, Asst. Executive Director, Caritas India was honoured for his book on “Social Teachings”. He then gave a message to the developmental workers on their role and values to be adopted by them. Mr. G. M. Varghese, Project Officer, KROSS gave a gist of the two books “Strategic Plan & Key Strategic Pillars of Caritas India and Social Teachings” which were translated into Kannada by Msgr. George D’souza, Diocese of Chikmagaluru for the use of the Social Workers at the grassroots level. The books were released by Dr. Eugene Lobo, Regional Secretary, KRCE and Ms Coni Poornima Alva, Director, I Create India, Bengaluru.

The two days sessions on “Social Teachings and Strategic Plan & Key Strategic Pillars of Caritas India” was facilitated by Dr. Jolly Puthenpura, Asst. Executive Director, Caritas India and Ms Mungreiphy Shimray, Operations Manager, Caritas India.

Sr. Zita D’souza, Project Officer, KROSS compered the program and Mr. Clement Fernandes, Manager-Programs, KROSS proposed the vote of thanks.
