The KROSS Governing Board Meeting was convened in KROSS Resource cum Training Centre, Bengaluru on 14th November 2019 with a prayer led by Fr. Alex Prashant Sequeira, Director, ODP-Mysuru.

Most. Rev. Dr. Gerald Lobo, Bishop of Udupi & President, KROSS extended a warm welcome to Rt. Rev. Dr. K. A. William, Bishop of Mysuru, the Diocesan Social Work Directors, Director KROSS and Team. He said that we are blessed with an opportunity to work for the poor and the marginalized who are our target group.

This was followed by wishing the President, Bishop Gerald Lobo a very happy birthday by singing a song and cutting the cake. The Vice President, Bishop K. A. William then spoke extolling the virtues of Bishop Gerald Lobo and said that he is a very simple person who gives more time and priority for his ministry

He requested the Secretary/Treasurer/Director, KROSS to present the minutes of the previous meeting. Fr. Sebastian Fernandes, Secretary/Treasurer/Director, KROSS presented the minutes of the previous Governing Board Meeting which was held on 05.08.2019. The house after a brief deliberation, unanimously accepted the minutes which was then proposed to be passed by Fr. Clifford Pinto, Director-SMSSS, Shivamogga and seconded by Reginald Pinto, Director, Sampada-Udupi.

This was followed by presentation of the work reports by the Manager-Program Support and Project Officers of KROSS, of the programmes being implemented by the 14 Diocesan Social Work Societies in the State of Karnataka and facilitated by KROSS. The reports were appreciated and the Members provided suggestions which were accepted.

The Vice President, Bishop K. A. William then proposed the vote of thanks asking the Lord to bless the work of Social Ministry that was being done by the Diocesan Social Service Societies in the name of the Church for the good of the society. He profusely thanked the President for his contribution to the meeting. He remarked that Fr. Sebastian Fernandes was enabling all the Diocesan Social Service Societies to do better. He said that the Diocesan Social Work Directors were playing a vital roles for the church in Karnataka by their vision, mission and good work. He thanked the KROSS Team and asked them to continue the good work.

The President then thanked the Vice President and concluded the meeting.
