CAPACITY ENHANCEMENT OF FEDERATION MEMBERS IN VIEW OF FORMING STATE LEVEL WOMEN FEDERATION

Capacity enhancement of federation members in view of forming state level women federation was held on July 19, 2023 at CMSSS, Hassam. There were 28 participants attended from BMSSS-Bengaluru, JVSSS-Mandy-ODP- Mysuru and CMSSS- Hassan. The programme began with the prayer by the participants followed by welcome speech by Ms. Shubha, staff of CMSSS.

The federation office-bares from 4 DSSSs have shared their experiences in solving the women/community problem at their respective places by using federation as platform. Fr. Shantharaj, Director of CMSSS through his introductory talk expressed that the participants should utilize this workshop to enhance their knowledge for the integrated development of women and their community. They should also strive to work for enhancing the quality of life of the downtrodden people of the society.

Rev. Fr. Richard Pais Executive Director, KROSS, conducted session on the importance of setting goal and achieving it. He also explained goals and objectives of the ongoing women empowerment program (WEP). The participants expressed that the session was very useful in strengthening the federation at the respective DSSSs.

Mrs. Bhagya Mary Coordinator-CMSSS, explained on the concept of taluk and district level federation.

Sr. Nancy Lobo, State Coordinator, KROSS gave more insight on the importance of women's federation. She explained in depth on the state federation bye law (draft).

KROSS organized this workshop in order to give clarity to the DSSSs level participants for strengthening the state level federation.

The programme concluded at 4.00pm with a vote thanks proposed by Mr. Ramesh Coordinator BMSSS.
