Safeguarding is the responsibility of all organizations to ensure that their staff and affiliates, programs, and operations protect the rights and dignity of all people especially children and vulnerable adults, employee to live free from abuse and harm.
KROSS with the support of Caritas India and CRS have worked towards mainstreaming safeguarding and have developed draft Safeguarding policy with the support from CI & CRS. The standard 1 of the policy will be completed and approved in the coming GB in the month of August
By September 2024, the partner DSSSs level has strong policies, systems and practices for safeguarding
Orientation to DSSS point person and follow up | Formal discussion with the concerned members | Translation of materials on safeguarding policies into local language | To orient domestic staff and other stakeholders | Consultation with the committee members regarding the draft | To meet Caritas and CRS criteria –implanting standard 2- 7 at KROSS level | Work on materials- handouts and posters | Providing Handholding support to partner DSSSs through stock taking exercises |Finalizing the safe policy and obtaining approval from the Board | Formulating reporting format
